Dollywood features a variety of rides, including thrill, water, family and children's rides. This is a picture of Daredevil Falls, a thrill ride and boat expedition ending with a 60-foot drop.

Come join the holiday fun at this year's Smoky Mountain Christmas Festival at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN. 14-foot tall toys, pyrotechnics, Santa, and even Ebenezer Scrooge are promising to make this one of the best holiday celebrations yet. Here's a quick look at just what to expect at this year's festival.

Lights
If you love holiday lights as much as Dollywood then you are in for a real treat. First you have the Parade of Lights, which is a series of elaborate and stunning floats decorated with thousands of brightly colored lights. Holiday characters add to the excitement of this parade. If that isn't enough, at night thousands of pyrotechnics and lights are synchronized to music for a holiday spectacular like no other.

Characters
Costumed characters are planning on wandering throughout the Dollywood park this holiday season. Included in the list of characters are a group of Victorian carolers who wear the best of 1800s fashion while performing music of the era. Everyone's favorite bitter, penny-pinching old man will also be in attendance, Ebenezer Scrooge, who is said to be spreading his own brand of cheer this winter.

Shows
Families wanting to take in a show during the holidays most definitely have quite a selection to choose from. With original musicals like 'Twas the Night Before Christmas your family will discover the true meaning of the holidays, and keep you incredibly entertained while doing so. Christmas with the Kingdom Heirs is the show that will provide all of your southern gospel hymns and song needs.

Babes in Toyland
Experience Dollywood's most elaborate stage show with an adaptation of a musical classic that is sure to leave you wanting to come back for more. Acrobatics, puppetry, spectacular scenery, and even a 15-foot tall toy soldier march are all included in this incredible show that is sure to mesmerize all audiences.

Santa
Step inside Santa's Workshop, a giant toy store filled with giant toys and characters to meet and greet. You'll get to explore the shop and take part in many interactive activities with your kids, including an oversized ViewMaster. Don't forget to make a special visit with Santa while you are there!

2nd anniversary trip was great!
My husband and I have been to Pigeon Forge for our honeymoon and our 1st anniversary. We decided to come down for our 2nd anniversary this July and go to Dollywood. It was our first visit to Dollywood and we had a great time. We really enjoyed the different shows we attended including the Kingdom Heirs Quartet. They had a young man who is 15 years old playing the piano and he was great along with the quartet. It was just great! We both needed to use the powerwheel chair's to get around such a big place and they we fantastic for transportation around the park. The staff we talked with were all great too! Thanks for making our 1st trip to Dollywood so nice!
