The Biltmore House is beautiful mansion outside of Asheville, not far from Gatlinburg, that was originally built in 1889 by one of the descendants of the Vanderbilt clan. This huge mansion is a popular attraction, drawing in hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to enjoy its gorgeous French-Renaissance-style architecture. It is the largest privately owned home in the country, spanning 175,000 square feet and with 250 unique rooms.
