Originally, it was called Mason's Pancake House, which was replaced by the Downtown Motor Inn. The Pancake Shop then took over on its own. It's very popular and well-known. Almost every person that has every eaten there make a return visit there every time they're in town.
There are not enough good things to say about this place. The service is excellent with the waitresses having the down south friendly personalities that make you want to stay and visit when you're done with your meal. Pancakes are not the only thing they serve. They have a great breakfast menu as well, with their deep-fried French toast being a favorite of many. While it is quite rich for a breakfast food, it is delicious.
A favorite drink of many is their famous Café La Semeuse, a coffee with a taste unlike any other. They also offer a full line of Organic teas. Whether it's smoked ham, peppered ham, sausage or their famous scones, their meals are the best you will have while on vacation.
