Casey's Seaside Café serves up a delicious casual dining experience backed by their time-tested recipes which have been handed down within the family, ever since the restaurant opened in 1911.
The quality of the food you will find here stands testament to the phenomenal popularity of this quaint little eatery. Casey's pays a lot of attention to the freshness quotient of their food, to the point that they even shell their own shrimps by hand and fillet their own fish! All the soups, salads, sauces and desserts are handmade which brings them their authentic, traditional flavor. Here, you can start your meal with plump fried mushrooms which arrive sizzling hot to your table and follow it up with some chowder or even their seafood platter. Accompanied by the homemade horseradish sauce, which also happens to be one of the most famous offerings of this little restaurant, you can eat your fill of shrimps and lobsters and then some more. And to mop up that delicious sauce, Casey's offers you a loaf of their in-house freshly baked bread. If you're still hungry, then you can even ask for a portion of their blackened redfish.
The bread pudding is an apt finale to a hearty meal. Portions are generous and the staff will also make recommendations based on your flavor for the evening. However, service can tend to get a little slow, especially when the restaurant fills up in the evenings, so be sure to have plenty of time at hand when you stop by at Casey's. The restaurant also has a separate children's menu and an array of salads, sandwiches and meat dishes for those who aren't particularly fond of seafood.
You can visit Casey's Seaside Café from 11 am to 8.30 pm, Monday through Thursday and between 11 am and 9.30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. For further information and to make reservations, you can call the Casey's at (409) 762-9625.
