There is plenty going on in Galveston and plenty of great places to eat - but nowhere as great as Benno's on the Beach. If you like places with a diverse menu and well cooked food then it doesn't get any better than Benno's on the Beach. They offer everything from burgers to Mexican food and everyhing in between. If you enjoy seafood then this is where you'll find seafood at its best. Benno's specialises in Cajun style seafood, if you want a taste of heaven this is it. It can get noisy on a Friday and a Saturday night when the neighboring restaurant hosts an outside band.
Benno's is renowned for its great tasting food, family friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. They have special brews on tap and great fried shrimp and crawfish. You order at the counter in Benno's and then they give you a table number and bring out your food. While you're waiting you can catch the view over the gulf from the outside patio, the place gets crowded which is why service is not always as quick as some might like. If you've been to Benno's once then you're bound to return; try to go off hours if you're not keen on waiting for your food.
