The Flagship Hotel Master Host Resort is one of the older hotels in Galveston, but it offers some of the best views to be found along the Texas Gulf Coast. Sit on your guest room balcony at sunrise or sunset and look out across the water for an unforgettable vista. The Flagship is located on the Galveston Islands Pier, which stretches 1000 feet out into the sea, so the spectacle of sea, sky and horizon is practically all around. Enjoy the hotel's pool, or go out on the pier with your fishing gear. Not far away are the city of Galveston's best known attractions: Moody Gardens, Galveston Historic Homes, the Grand Opera House, the Lonestar Flight Museum, the Ocean Star Offshore Drilling Rig and Museum, and the Strand. From the Flagship you can enjoy such seasonal events as a Christmas Festival called Dickens on the Strand.

I have stayed at the Flagship several times and I love the view ..you can't beat it. Yes it may be an older hotel but the balcony on the back side is directly over the water and very relaxing to sit out on the balcony and watch the sunset and sunrise! the staff is extemely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean it does need some facelift work..mainly the elevator. I will definately stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.
