Eastwood Golf Course in Fort Myers, Florida provides an outstanding golf experience to those that visit. The location was undergoing extensive renovations and updates in the summer of 2007, and will reopen in the fall months. This includes some $1.4 million worth of renovations. The location provides for the latest greens and tees in a beautiful landscape. New bunkers, irrigation system and cart paths were being installed as well. The surrounding area is breathtaking.
Guests will enjoy the large, spacious and updated clubhouse that is now a state of the art, $2 million facility. The Fort Myers Country Club is located at Eastwood Golf Course and provides for a meeting facility for members of the golf club. One of the unique features of this golf course is that unlike surrounding golf course, the Eastwood Golf Course will not position any homes on the actual greens of the facility. Nevertheless, there will be new homes developed surrounding the course, including those designed and constructed by the Bonita Bay Group.
Visitors can take lessons from the well known golf instructors Peter Baxter and Kari Phenix. There is a dress code here, of shirts with colors and only soft spikes can be used. Visitors should book green times ahead of time as the course is a popular one. This course does offer membership fees to those that play often with benefits at the Country Club to those that do. Various events happen at the course during the year. It is open year round, pending weather conditions.
