City of Fort Myers Yacht Basin is located in Fort Myers, Florida and is owned and operated by the City of Fort Myers. It's located 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico at Mile Marker 135 on Okeechobee Waterway. The docks are well maintained by skilled competent staff that has a reputation for being friendly, professional and helpful. Staff members have worked hard over the years to achieve the distinction of being the friendliest on the waterway. Near the docks the water is typically six feet deep and there is typically a depth of 10 feet in the actual basin. There is hardly any current around the marina, and when there is, it's very weak.
The Yacht Basin is near many restaurants and historical sites. Just next to the marina is Centennial Park. Centennial Park is the location of many family friendly events and festivals. The City of Fort Myers Historical Museum is within walking distance at only five blocks away. It's located between the Edison Bridges and the Caloosahatchee Bridge on the south side of Caloosahatchee River.
