The Edison Festival of Lights is a nearly month long celebration in honor of one time Fort Myers resident Thomas Edison, and features such exciting events as a parade, concert and crafts show.
The parade is certainly the focal point of the celebration. Floats, government officials, marching bands and more comprise the parade body. Many of the floats are decorated with various lights, in honor of Thomas Edison.
There are countless events held throughout the three weeks of celebration with a few annually reoccurring events that always draw large crowds. From an active 5k run and crafts show to science fairs and concerts, the Edison Festival of Lights is sure to offer something for everyone.
