Located on Thorpe Road in Flagstaff, the Thorpe Park is a great place to spend a leisurely day with the family, either with a causal picnic lunch or an invigorating game of tennis or soccer.
Spread over 219 acres, the Thorpe Park has plenty to do for visitors of every age and interest. You can take your tennis racquet along to test your skills at any of the four lit tennis courts or the two outdoor courts. For those balmy summer days, you can even stop by for a game of sand volleyball, or treat yourself to a game of soccer or two at the park. Youngsters will delight in the well maintained baseball fields, while their older counterparts can head for the softball fields for yet another exciting day at the park.
The park also features the immensely popular disc golf course, where you can play your regular golf game with an innovative tweak... you use a Frisbee instead! Toddlers can gambol away in the two playgrounds especially devoted to them. You can also carry a packed lunch along with you to the picnic ramada, to munch on in between games or buy a snack from the concession stands. The Thorpe Park is dotted with restrooms at frequent intervals to ensure your comfort during your visit.
You can even bring your pooch along to the park and drop him off at the Bark Park which features agility equipment for your pet to amuse himself with. There is also a special section for smaller and older dogs where they can play or even take a small nap as you rejuvenate at the park.
