The Haunted Museum Club in Flagstaff, AZ
The Haunted Museum club started life as a taxidermy museum when it was first built in 1931. Soon after however the owner died and the club was turned into a nightclub. Although popular at the time, the Museum club didn't really take off until it became a roadhouse and is today considered to be the best roadhouse and dance club in Arizona. It also holds the title of being one of the biggest attractions on Route 66.
When visiting the Haunted Museum Club you can enjoy live country and western music most nights and it isn't unusual for impromptu line dancing to occur. New bands are always given a chance to impress at the club and so the music changes from week to week. You can also join in Poker tournaments held every Tuesday and have a flutter on the horses over lunch. If you're really brave you can try karaoke on Mondays and horseshoe throwing on Sundays during the summer months.
If you're lucky you may get to see the resident ghosts that give the Haunted Museum Club its name. In the 60s and 70s the owners of the club were the Scotts however disaster struck the couple when Mrs. Scott fell down the stairs and broke her neck and in despair Mr. Scott took his own life. Now Mrs. Scott is said to regularly appear in the bar area while her distraught husband likes to clink the spirit bottles together and even reorganizes them from time to time. This means a visit to the Haunted Museum Club may provide you with more than just a drink and a dance!
