In the past, the Corporation of the City of Fernie has presented Canada Day Celebrations Rotary Park & Annex Park in Fernie, British Columbia.
Beginning in the morning, the event has featured:
- mountain market with artisans

- 3 legged race
- sack race donut on a string
- cake cutting ceremonies
- singing of O Canada
- speeches
- playground unveiling
- luminaire workshop
- samba band
