Beaver Lake in Eureka Springs, AR
Beaver Lake is a 70 mile long natural lake that offers nearly 500 miles of beautiful shoreline to explore, much of which has secluded beaches and small private inlets. In the last few decades many recreational facilities have been built around the lake's extensive shorelines including a number of parks and all inclusive campsites. In addition there are plenty of picnic areas available for day visitors as well as designated hiking trails, beaches suitable for swimming and boat launching ramps suitable for launching most private boats.
On the Eureka Springs side of Beaver Lake there is a comprehensive marina where you can hire a number of different types of water vehicle including pontoons, wave runners and of course fishing boats. The marina shop also sells boat fuel, maps of the lake and the various facilities to be found on the shoreline, fishing guides and the obligatory fishing licenses. Beaver Lake is well known for its award winning striped bass however there are a number of other fish varieties to be found within the lake including other forms of bass, crappie and catfish.
In addition to the numerous campsites dotted around the lake there are also other types of lodgings available. These include motels, private cabins to suit any budget and hotel suites, many of which have spectacular views of the Ozark Mountains and are close to the waters edge. Beaver Lake is a serene and relaxing area and is understandably very popular with tourists and locals alike. Not surprisingly it has also become a top choice for honeymooning couples over the last few years.
The Ozarks Chorale is a group of Eureka Springs, Arkansas community members who are dedicated to pursuing singing as a hobby with other members of the city.
