Annual Eureka Springs Artists' Studio Tour in Eureka Springs, AR
The Annual Eureka Springs Artists' Studio Tour takes in 18 working studios and gives you the opportunity to see works of art by over 20 local and international artists. Held from Friday to Sunday, the tour actually begins on Thursday evening when those taking part get to meet the artists at a welcome reception. Here you can also buy guidebooks, maps and leaflets containing information about each studio so that you have an idea of what to expect the following morning.
There is an official map which indicates the best way to go around the route however you are free to visit any of the studios whenever and as often as you like. Some of the art on show is available to buy however a lot of it is exhibit only but because the range of genres is so diverse from studio to studio they will almost certainly keep you occupied for the full three days. Each studio has a distinctive road sign pointing to its entrance so that there is no chance of you missing one out accidentally.
Some of the studios perform live demonstrations of sculpture, painting, needle crafts and even weaving and many of the artists love answering questions about their passions.
This year's Annual Artists' Studio Tour in Eureka Springs is being held from 28th to 30th September however the dates remain virtually the same each year. The studios are open from 10am-4pm Friday to Sunday which means that at the end of each day you are free to enjoy the eateries and scenery of Eureka Springs.
