Memorial Day Salute to Veterans at Sacred Arts Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Every year on Memorial Day Weekend, the Sacred Arts Center in Eureka Springs, Arkansas holds a salute to American veterans of past wars in its art museum. Local veterans and politicians often speak at the event, and a group prayer is often held as well. The Sacred Arts Center is a Christian museum that houses over 1000 works of religious and Bible-themed art. Much of the art is Last Supper-themed; the museum owns a set of china depicting the Last Supper that was commissioned by Kaiser Wilhelm I. The museum's art collection spans all time periods; there is a marble bust of Christ that is from Roman times, as well as paintings from contemporary Christian artists like Jack Dawson and Shelli Jones Baker.
