Fort Edmonton Park in Edmonton, Alberta, is a historic representation that prides itself in its authentic display of life during the early times of the city.& This living history park, as it is called, offers several areas that can be explored by visitors. Each area depicts something unique and interesting about the culture, living style and people at various moments in history. The four historical periods that are shown through these exhibits include The Fort, 1885 Street, 1905 Street and finally 1920 Street.
As you stroll through the park, you are greeted with various historical costumed guides that will help to tell the story of that location and timeframe. They help to bring scenes from the era to life. They are also able to answer your questions about this time. There are various activities to do throughout the park. Some of those include pioneer children's games, bread baking demonstrations, antique vehicle rides, and a 1920's style miniature golf area.
