Bill Hunter Arena in Edmonton, Alberta Canada offers visitors the ability to watch and to play a game of hockey, or other activities.& The Bill Hunter Arena was formerly called the Jasper Place and has provided services to the community since the 1963 season. Those that visit are able to enjoy the facilities as the location is a public venue.
The Bill Hunter Arena features an ice surface that is about 190 by 85 feet, or 57.91 by 25.91 metres. This good sized location provides for seating that moves all around the outside of the rink. There are seats for about 1700 people, but standing room for another 200 people. This allows for a large location for the local and regional events that take place here.
There is a safety net located around the arena to help protect visitors that are watching the events from flying objects. The location is used in both the winter and summer months because it offers summer ice capabilities. There is also a skate sharpening machine located at the arena. In addition, there are four dressing rooms located here. There is one shower unit for every two dressing rooms. There is no designated warm up area at the arena.
Those that visit have the ability to sit and watch the events. There is a concession stand that is opening during many events as well as vending machines available. Park like food is available. Visitors are encouraged to find the local schedule of events.
The arena is the home of the Edmonton Outlaws and the Edmonton Miners.
