Automotive Hall of Fame in Detroit, MIThe Automotive Hall of Fame is a non-profit organization which endeavors to preserve automotive history while educating young pioneers in the automotive industry and recognizing outstanding achievement in the automotive and related industries.<
The Hall of Fame houses an array of visual and interactive exhibits to generate interest and awareness about automotives, besides a variety of automobiles and authentic artifacts. At the Henry Ford II Lobby, you can select a card which best describes you as either an inventor, a problem solver, a motivator or an inventor and then explore the Hall of Fame to find out which of the famous personalities featured in the museum is most like you. You can then view an eight minute video presentation which introduces you to the exhibits and the Hall of Fame. You are then guided to the Soichiro Honda Atrium which features rotating exhibits. You can also witness the 12 feet high, 65 feet long mural which is dedicated to the impact of motor vehicles on world cultures, right from the late 1800s to the future. This mural is also recognized as the largest piece of automotive fine art in Detroit. At the Exhibit Hall, you will find a hoard of exhibits that include profiles of the men who fueled the phenomenal journey of automotives through the ages. The working metal exhibit called the "Aeropede" allows visitors to experience what the first form of automotives looked and felt like. You can also take a brief look at what future automobiles will look like. The Hall of Fame also relates achievements to the people behind reputed names like Benz, Chevrolet, Ford and Honda, allowing visitors to connect with them n a more personal level. Here, you can also find the Honda Formula One Racing Car that won Honda and Goodyear their very first Grand Prix victory. The Hall of Fame also presents several prestigious awards like the 'Industry Leader of the Year' which is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated excellent industry leadership. Although most visitors opt to tour the Hall of Fame by themselves, you can also request the assistance of staff members or volunteers to answer your questions about the exhibits. If you visit the museum in a group of 15 or more, you can even avail of a special discounted rate of $4 per person. You can even choose to host your corporate meetings or events at the Automotive Hall of Fame. With excellent audio visual facilities to aid presentations and dinner seating for up to 130 guests, you can be sure that your meeting will prove to be a unique and memorable experience.
