Day 2 Galena - Dubuque
The morning brings a narrated trolley tour where you'll learn about the history of the lead mining community and river port. Privately owned, Linmar Gardens features flowing brooks, hand-built terraces, and a 20-foot waterfall. Heading back downtown, you'll enjoy time to yourself to shop and browse museums in Old Galena. Discover emporiums and find a place for lunch. Your evening host will take you on a tour and progressive dinner of four Victorian mansions.
Day 3 Galena – St. Charles
On your way to St. Charles, you'll stop at the #1 Japanese Garden in North America, Anderson Japanese Gardens. Day 4 St. Charles – O’Hare
he morning offers a chance to tour the Fabyan Villa Museum and Gardens. Experience the brilliant architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright as well as hear the story of Fabyan. The historic third street district in Geneva presents homes that have been transformed into restaurants and specialty shops. Have lunch on your own and then return to discover Farnsworth House. A marvel of glass and steel built in 1951, it sits on the banks of the Fox River.
