Red Rocks Amphitheater and Visitors Center in Denver, Colorado provides one of the most unique and interesting settings for any event. In the Rocky Mountain Foothills, which is about fifteen miles west of the city of Denver, this theater and park provides guests with a new way to truly experience an event. Red Rocks is actually an amphitheatre that was nearly completely designed by geology rather than human architecture. It is an open air amphitheatre. The amphitheatre works very well because of the two, three hundred foot monoliths that are located here. These are ship rock and creation rock that have been specifically placed over time to provide a very unique and nearly perfect acoustic performance, all designed by Mother Nature herself. Any performance sounds amazing here.
With just a few miles between Denver and the Red Rocks location, the location is ideal not only for musicians and performers, but it provides for an amazing view to anyone sitting within it. Throughout the area are some of the most amazing cites including Jurassic era dinosaur tracks and fossils from large serpents. Nevertheless, the Red Rocks Amphitheatre has some rock formations that are at a slope of nearly 90 degrees. They are taller than Niagara Falls and are wonders the world over. Many of the events that take place here are musical, but the venue can be used for many reasons, all of which make for a unique experience. Guests can visit the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Visitors Center for education or a lot of fun.
