The Colorado Symphony has more than 70 talented musicians under the direction of Mari Alsop, a very popular music director. From September through May each year, you will hear vocal and musical guests showing you talent you didn't know existed. The Colorado Symphony also helps to promote the education of music with musical summer camps, mentoring programs and youth concerts. The concerts are held in the Denver Performing Arts Complex and the Boettcher Concert Hall.

Another popular masterpiece is the Beethoven Symphony No. 7 by the music direction of Jeffrey Kahane with Ingrid Eliter at the piano. This program is scheduled a few times at the Colorado Symphony because it is so well loved. If you are lovers of Mozart, Bach or the Italian opera, this performance will astound you. To make up the difference, there are many different donations and fund raisers to keep the Symphony operating successfully.

The Colorado Symphony's Orchestra's HeartStrings is a program that helps adults and children of all economic means to be able to attend the concerts free or at a reduced price. The money for this comes from donations to the HeartStrings.

Many large companies in the area have a matching donation program where they will match whatever donation some in the company makes to the Symphony.

The Colorado Symphony Orchestra takes donations that are made in honor of a certain person or occasion as well as in memory of someone.

The Colorado Symphony Guild, which was started in 1935, and has over 300 members has the task of keeping the public aware of any news regarding the Symphony as well as helping increase funds and donations.
