The town spans three miles and you can view its entire scenery by taking a 30-minute ride along a train at the Royal Gorge Scenic Railway.
Entertainment is big at the Buckskin Joe Frontier Town & Railway. While you walk through the town you may catch what appears to be a real gunfight. If you want to become part of this fun show, Buckskin staff can teach you the finer points of gun fighting in their Gunfighter for the Day Program and let you participate in your very own gun fight. The month of October is a particularly fun time of the year at Buckskin Joe's. Several times during October the town in converted into a horror town.
Even the food available at the Buckskin Joe Frontier Town & Railway is a reminder of frontier living. The Gold Nugget Restaurant offers a host of tasty frontier foods, including hamburgers made with real buffalo meat. There is a gift shop onsite with plenty of items to choose from as a reminder of your time spent at Buckskin Joe's.
Ticket prices at Buckskin Joe Frontier Town & Railway vary according to your selection of activities. Children over the age of four and younger than 11 pay $9 for admission to the town while adults pay $11. A ride on the train costs $8 for adults and $7 for children.
