The National Western Stock Show provides fans of livestock with one of the largest conglomerations of a horse show, livestock and rodeo in the world. The National Western Complex offers up 100 acres of show ground, giving the National Western Stock Show more than enough room to present the wide variety of activities that take place throughout the show's duration.
Events of the show include: the livestock competition, including 19 different breeds of cattle along with bison, goat, llama, poultry, sheep, swine and yak; the horse show, which features american paint & quarter horses, draft horses, miniature horses and even donkeys & mules; and the rodeo, which features bull riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping and barrel racing. Along with the three main shows of the event, there is typically card games, parades, art shows and a variety of western related activities to help fill the time in between the horse show, livestock show and rodeo.
