Located about two miles north of Dunlawton Blvd, Frank Rendon Park is named after one of the pillars of leadership in the city of Daytona Beach. The park is a great location for a family gettogether or just to have everyone visit for a relaxing day. Here, you will find a good amount of parking, including handicapped accessible locations. Visit for the covered picnic areas for a lunch overlooking the landscape. Bring the kids to play on the children's playground which features a padded flooring for safety. You will also find that the water fountain is a beautiful landmark located here. There are also many places to sit and relax; a wooden observation deck and a number of beach wheels.
The park is a busy one with a number of different access points. Visitors can spend the day on the beach, enjoying the water and even fishing. Then, have a nice meal and spend the day playing catch. Many come to get away from the crowds at other larger areas. You will find grills to use and public restrooms (including handicapped accessible ones) available. This is also a good place to come just to people or animal watch. It is open all year the general public without any charge for visitors. Bring a friend and enjoy a stay at the Frank Rendon Park.
