Built in Mosquito Inlet, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station. Ten years of restoration by the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association has resulted in what currently stands today. With over one hundred thousand people visiting the lighthouse each year, in 1998, the Ponce de Leon Inlet Light Station has been a National Historic Landmark. Twelve miles south of Daytona Beach, Florida is where the museum as well as the lighthouse tower are located. Open to the public all year round, visitors can climb all two hundred three steps to the peak of this one hundred seventy five foot lighthouse tower and enjoy the unbelievably stunning view of the Ponce Inlet, the World's Most Famous Beach and, from the lighthouse gallery deck, the waterways of the surrounding landscape.
