Located at the breathtaking Chankanaab National Marine Park, Dolphin Discovery allows you to not only view demonstrations by dolphins, but also interact with them on a personal level. And this it does with the three exciting programs it offers visitors of all ages. of these, the First Encounter has been deigned for children, where they can watch dolphins flaunt their singing skills, race against each other and even do a nifty 'tailwalk' for their young audience. After the performance, the children can hug the stars of the show, wrap them in a 'dolphin hug', and even get their first wet kiss on their little cheeks!

For some adrenaline, head to the Dolphin Royal Swim where the dolphins introduce themselves with a friendly handshake and even a kiss on the cheek which you can return. And then cling on to their fins as these mammals zip you along on the most exciting ride of your life. And if you can muster up the courage, let the dolphins propel you through the water by pushing against your feet... and then realize what action, dolphin-style is truly all about!

You can even pay the dolphins a visit submerged at a depth of 25 feet. After the handshake and the kiss, you can belly-ride with your new-found friends and then slip on your mask and snorkel to view them from under the surface. The dolphins will put up an impressive performance of skill and dexterity, while also swimming in and out of your group so that you can caress it. The park ensures that group sizes are restricted to a maximum of eight people to allow your experience to be as intimate as possible.

These programs are charged at $119, per person for a 30 minute swim which is preceded by a half-hour orientation training to prepare you for the excitement which is to follow. You can even visit the Gift Shop to pick up photographs or videos, which make great souvenirs of your Dolphin Discovery experience.

The Dolphin Discovery programs are scheduled at 10 am, noon, 2 pm and 4 pm, all through the week. Given the vast popularity that these programs enjoy, it is advisable that you make your reservations well in advance.
