The Peterson Air & Space Museum, located on the Peterson Air Force Base, is a truly amazing look into the timeline of aeronautical and space travel. A number of aircraft are displayed throughout the museum grounds, ranging from American fighter planes to Royal Canadian Air Force Aircraft. Along with the displays of actual planes, there are also a number of missiles and special exhibits housed within the museum, giving an in-depth look into the fascinating world of flight.
Since the Peterson Air & Space Museum is located on an actual air force base, access can sometimes be rather restricted. If you're planning on visiting the Peterson Air & Space Museum, and do not have military identification or will not be escorted by a DOD cardholder, then you will need to contact the museum staff at least 24 hours before your planned arrival, 72 hours if you will be visiting on Saturday. The contact number is (719)556-4915.
