An astounding collection of exhibits, interactive displays, films, oral histories, photographs, and artifacts are on display at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, which traces the history and achievements of Cleveland's Jewish community. Visitors will find a vast chain of exhibits detailing individuals and families from their arrival to the area at the turn of the 20
th century to the present day.
The Building a City display takes visitors on the journey of newly established immigrants as they struggle with a new language, finding employment, and raising their families in America while maintaining their heritage, while the Time of Uncertainty and World Destroyed exhibits detail the community's reaction to the Great Depression and World War II. Visitors can learn about Cleveland's synagogues at the Keeping the Faith exhibit, or explore the lighter side of the community's cultural scene through stories of legendary sports figures.
