Kids will enjoy the Great Lakes Science Center, a small hands-on organization that features over four hundred interactive, educational exhibits. Highlights of the Center include the Science Phenomena area, where visitors can touch a tornado or feel their hair stand on end on the Bridge of Fire, as well as engage in a hundred other activities that explore light and optics, motion and mechanics, sound, electricity, magnetism, and weather.
The Regional Technologies exhibits offer kids the chance to pilot a blimp and sample a sodium snow-cone, while the Great Lakes Environment Floor features learning activities focused on Ohio and surrounding regions. For a thrill, visitors should try out the Sky Glider, which takes guests on a tour through the Grand Canyon on a virtual hang glider. Little tykes can romp in the Polymer Funhouse, which features the interactive Bubble Maze, Water Wheel, and Fog Gong displays, while the Omnimax theatre shows larger-than-life films to please every age level.
