When it comes to people getting out and having fun, one of the most popular places for those that live in Cleveland, Ohio is to the Cleveland Lakefront State Park. Not only is it a state park, but it is filled with many things for people to do year round.
The Cleveland Lakefront State Park is located right in the middle of Cleveland; in fact, it is right in the heart of the city! Not only is the Cleveland Lakefront State Park a place for people to go to have fun and relax, but it is also a natural relief for metropolitan skyline. Before the Cleveland Lakefront State Park was one park, it was actually four different parks; however, in 1978 they were joined together to form the Cleveland Lakefront State Park.
When it comes to all the different activities that can be done with at the park, there are numerous things to choose from. In fact, while at the Edgewater Park you can go on the fitness course or the bike path, it have pavilions that are equipped with restrooms, a playground for children, you can go to the beach, fish or even dock a boat at the launch ramps. If you are at Gordon Park, there are 6 boat-launch ramps, visit the park office, a great little picnic area as well as fishing platforms. If you are at the Wildwood Park, there are also boat ramps, a marina that offers many different things, playground, bike path and a beach. Along with those parks, there is much more that can be seen; such as going on the scenic boardwalk, fitness trail, bathhouse, as well as a wheelchair accessible fishing pier and swimming beach.
