African Safari Wildlife Park in Port Clinton, OH gives the entire family the chance to learn about different wildlife as well as see how many of them are on a daily basis. You'll see many exotic or rare animals as well as some endangered species from all over the world. At African Safari Wildlife Park, you'll see more than 50 different species of animals including camels, zebras, giraffes and more. The Wildlife Park has many births, more than 200 were expected in 2007. If you get to the park at the right time, you may get to experience the miracle of birth. Many people don't realize that there are different varieties of camels. However, you'll learn first hand what the difference is when you get to see the Bactrian (two-humped camel) and the Dromedary (one-humped camel). Camel rides are a big attraction at the park as well as making great photos. You'll have the time of your life roaming this 100-acre wildlife park watching the animals in their natural habitat while munching on snacks. Do not plan anything else for the day you come here because you'll have enough here to keep you busy for the day. The African Safari Wildlife Park is open from March until November, but the hours vary during these different months. From March through May, which is considered off-season, the hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. From the end of May until September 1, the summer hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. From September 2 to November 2, the off-season hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rates are the same during all three seasons. The rate for 7 years old through adults is $13.95, children 3 to 6 are $7.95 and admission is free for two and under.
