The Loop is "downtown" Chicago, the heart of Chicago's business district. Its name is derived from the CTA's elevated tracks that loop the area and provide fantastic transportation to all of Chicago.
Though the Loop is the destination for the local and international businesses located there, it is also within walking distance of Michigan Avenue and all of its available shopping. After hours, the Loop comes alive with restaurants, boutiques, and antique and book shops. Housing in the loop is mainly comprised of high-rise condominiums, and prices vary. Many offer incredible views of downtown and the surrounding area.
