Located in Hyde Park, the University of Chicago is considered to be one of the finest higher learning institutions in the States.
Incorporated in 1890, the university is nondenominational and coeducational, offering undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in a variety of disciplines. There is a law school, a school of divinity, business school, school of medicine, and many others. And the alumni go far: Seventy-nine Nobel Laureates have been faculty members, students or researchers at the University of Chicago at some point in their careers. Twelve have won the Nobel Prize in the last decade alone. The campus itself is 211 acres with 243 buildings. Enrollment is between 13,000-14,000.
