Come to 'Oktoberfest' any day of the year at Uberstein! This bar has worked to replicate a traditional German beerhall atmophere, and has three fancy sermaic towers that carry five taps each of Hofbrau beer imported from the Munich brewery. Order in one-third, half- and full-liter sizes, all served in authentic steins.
If you get the munchies while you're there, chow down on some lighter fare in the German spirit: bratwurst, schnitzel, and pretzels with beer cheese.
No need to go the the Old Country when Uberstein brings a taste of Bavaria to you! Street parking is difficult, smoking is allowed, plastic is accepted, the place is wheelchair accessible, and the easiest transportation to get there is either a cab, the Red Line train (Addison stop), or the CTA bus (#22 Clark Street). The bar also hosts live German bands.
Hours: 3 p.m.-2 a.m. Monday and Wednesday through Friday; 11 a.m.- 2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday
