Voted City'sBest2006, Rosebud has become a Chicago staple since its inception in 1977. Located in Little Italy, Rosebud was started by restaurant vet Alex Dana, who credits his success to the authentic Italian recipes from his mother and grandmother.
The building is simple and rustic, which is fitting for a cuisine that is simple and Old-World, yet full of robust flavors. Here you can enjoy such local favorites as chicken Vesuvio, a pan-roasted chicken in garlic white wine sauce and served with potatoes and peas, homemade signature "square noodle" pasta, or cavatelli and ricotta dumplings. No wonder that this historic original Taylor Street attraction continues to excite the taste-buds of dining enthusiasts.
