Dedicated to educating citizens about the natural world in which they live and its long and complicated history, the Field Museum has been part of Chicago since 1893. With countless objects on display illustrating art, archeology, science, and history, it is regarded as one of the finest institutions of its kind.
Permanent exhibits include "Sue," the largest, most complete, and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex ever found, taxidermied animals from almost every continent on earth, the actual taxidermied lions whose abundant taking of human life spawned the movie The Ghost and The Darkness, countless insects, plants, information on ecosystems, interactive exhibits, fossils, and much, much more! There are also several temporary exhibits, so even if you've been before, there are many new things to see.
You can visit the Field Museum with CityPass and the Go Chicago Card, both available through Vacations Made Easy.
