Million Dollar Quartet
Million Dollar Quartet
This entertaining show tells the story of how Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Johnny Cash were brought together on December 4, 1956 in a twist of fate. The four legends met at the Sun Records storefront studio in Memphis for an impromptu recording session. Rock 'n' Roll was born that fateful day, and their jam session became known as the greatest of all time. Million Dollar Quartet tells the story through songs including 'Whole Lotta Shakin Goin On,' 'Ghost Riders in the Sky,' 'Great Balls of Fire,' 'Who Do You Love,' 'Sixteen Tons,' 'Fever,' and 'Blue Suede Shoes.' Johnny Cash is played by Lance Guest. This is not his first appearance as Johnny Cash, he played the role in the 2006 Village Theatre's Festival of New Musicals version of Million Dollar Quartet. Elvis Presley is played be Eddie Clendening. With years of experience as a featured guitarist, Eddie also has the appearance of a young Elvis. Carl Perkins is played by Rob Lyons who also has experience in the same role appearing in the 2006 Village Theatre's Festival of New Musicals version of Million Dollar Quartet. Jerry Lee Lewis is played by Levi Kreis who just completed a 251 city tour singing hits from his album, The Gospel According to Levi. Details:
