The Day on the Museum Campus tour is an admission to three of the greatest museums in all of Chicago: Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum.
The Field Museum is a collection of exhibits that reflects natural sciences like science, history, and archaeology. It opened in 1863 and still remains in operation to day with many different permanent and temporary exhibits. Perhaps the most well known are the exhibits of life like replicas of the Aztec empire and Ice-Age mammoth hunters.
The Shedd Aquarium is a huge Oceanarium with various types of sea creatures from all over the world. Represented are ecosystems from the Amazon, South Pole, and the Pacific Ocean, among many others. Children can spend time in the Polar Play Zone where they can have fun playing in the different areas which include a fun submarine!
In 1930, the Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum was founded, and it has since become a center for the most significant collections of antique astronomy instruments known to mankind. Several sky adventures away you in this beautiful museum where you will be able to learn all about our solar system and the universe beyond. It includes two theatres with a Zeiss project and a virtual reality experience.
