The Falcon Rest Mansion is a preserved victorian mansion that makes learning a lot of fun.
Falcon Rest Mansion was built in the 1890s by entrepreneur Clay Faulkner. He built the mansion for his wife with "modern conveniences" like indoor plumbing, electric lights, and central heat. After becoming a hospital and nursing home in the 1940s and '50s, the mansion was restored to its Victorian origins to both entertain and enlighten the public.
Falcon Rest Mansion offers tours, lodging and dining options, and shows. The mansion is open seven days a week and is only closed during major holidays. Guests may stay at Falcon Manor or the General Manager's Cottage, both located on the mansion's grounds. Visitors to the mansion may dine at the Victorian Tea Room or the Victorian Carriage House. Shows at the mansion include a Vaudeville Variety show, "Murder at the Mansion," and "Ghost at the Mansion."
