Chattanooga Regional History Museum in Chattanooga, TN
At the Chattanooga Regional History Museum, you can learn about life in Chattanooga during different decades through many extensive collections of photographs and artifacts. In its exhibits, this museum has many unique collections. The Tailiaferro Collection displays the life of a Chattanooga family from the 1920s to the 1950s with 500 different items. The Civil War Collection consists of uniform pieces, battlefield artifacts, military weapons, and more. Other collections have work from Chattanooga artist Emma Bell Miles, turn of the twentieth century textiles, Native American artifacts, and much more.
The Chattanooga Regional History Museum is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed during major holidays. Not too far away from the museum, you'll find The Chattanooga Store, where you can get authentic Chattanooga merchandise ranging from moon pies and Sticky Fingers barbeque sauce to t-shirts and gift baskets.
