On the first Saturday in December, you can marvel at the Holiday Starlight Parade where you'll see performing groups, vehicles, and floats all decked in a yuletide theme. The final event in downtown Chattanooga's holiday festivities is the Appalachian Christmas, a traditional Appalachian folk and bluegrass Christmas celebration accompanied by a visit from an Appalachian Santa and complimentary hot cider and sugar cookies.
