Memorial Day in Chattanooga, TN
Wilder tower is the venue of the Memorial Day Weekend celebration featuring the 101st Airborne Division air assault Band and Honor Guard and a breathtaking fireworks display for 'A Celebration of Independence' at Chattanooga and Chickamauga National Military Park at 7:30 p.m.
With free admissions, everyone is absolutely welcome to attend. Bring your cameras, picnic blankets and baby strollers. Thousands are expected to join the festivities and fun this Memorial Day at Wilder Tower. Wilder Tower is one of the more prominent monuments throughout the five thousand two hundred acres at National Military Park, a very conducive park for picnics and quality time with the whole family.
The nation's first National Military parks are The Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is the venue of the Civil War's last victory of the confederation against the battle for the south gateway. Later on the war was moved further south and Chattanooga was taken by troops of the Union.
