Concert Choir at Rock City Garden of Lights in chattanooga, TN
The culminating event of the holiday season for the Chattanooga Girls Choir is their annual winter concert; this year entitled Songs of Peace. The winter concert will once again be held at the Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Center at UTC. The public will have two opportunities to view this concert as it is scheduled for Friday evening, December 19th, 7:30 p.m., and Saturday matinee, December 20th, 2:00p.m. Performing at Hayes Hall always holds fond memories for the choir as both the Winter and Spring Concerts were held there for many years in the early days of the Chattanooga Girls Choir.
The choirs will be singing holiday songs from around the world such as The Languages of Christmas, Caribee Christmas, Hanerot Halalu, Jamaican Noel and Laudate Dominum (Motzart. The choir will also be performing some holiday favorites as well such as Deck the Halls, Carol of the Bells, O Tannenbaum (O Christmas Tree) and O Let the Merry Bells Ring.
