Hunter Museum of American Art Chattanooga Regional History Museum The Chattanooga Regional History Museum is a lesser known museum in Chattanooga with few travelers, but it contains some of the better history records and displays of museums in the area. Inexpensive to enter, it is well worth the money, and it has some fun activities for kids that will keep them busy. One of the most visited museums in Chattanooga is the Creative Discovery Museum. This has some excellent exhibits, including a Rooftop Fun Factory, where children will use simple machines to play music, lift themselves, or a number of other different play activities. This museum is a great hit among children and shouldn't be missed. It's lots of fun for adults as well! International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum A fun and intriguing museum is the International Towing and Recovery Hall of Fame and Museum. This has some of the historic wreckers, as well as some that have made it into the Hall of Fame for excellence in towing. It was built in Chattanooga because the first wrecker ever built was made there by the Ernest Holmes Company. Don't miss this museum while you are down in Chattanooga, it really is a great time. Houston Museum of Decorative Arts One of the most theme-focused is the Houston Museum of Decorative Arts. Anything that you would think to put in a house can be found in antique form in this museum. In fact, they have the world's largest pitcher collection. This museum was built using the items from Anna Safley Houston's private collection and is a great place to go for décor ideas, or to just see a lot of antiques.
