Ocoee River Rafting

A whitewater rafting adventure down the Ocoee River, located only a short hour from Chattanooga, provides thrills and excitement amidst the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. This activity is a great day trip for experts, novices, families, and other groups.

The Ocoee is a dam controlled river which means water levels are high all summer long and guides will navigate you through all different kinds of rapids ranging from level 3 to level 5. A spectacular whitewater rafting adventure awaits as you prepare to paddle your way down the Ocoee River.

Guests can choose to explore the Upper Ocoee or the Middle Ocoee. With the Upper Ocoee, you'll spend 1 & 1/2 hours on the river and with the Middle Ocoee 2 hours will be spent on the river.

• Price includes guided rafting adventure and all necessary equipment. The Ocoee River Combo includes lunch.
• The Upper & Middle trips last about 3.5 hours (including transportation), while the Combo Trip includes both the Upper and Middle Ocoee River and lasts about 6 hours.
• Rafting trips continue rain or shine  
• Ocoee River is approximately 1 hour from Chattanooga.
• Physical participation is required (You must paddle!)
• Rafts can accommodate 6 people
• Not recommended for pregnant women
• Life jackets are provided and must be worn
• All guides are trained in CPR and first aid
• All persons must be at least 12 years old to participate 
• Transportation from the rafting center to the river is provided
• No previous whitewater experience needed
