Charlotte is an old town in North Carolina, with it's roots close to it's heart — you can find restored buildings, cars, and more near and around the area. There are family living in Charlotte that have been in the area for generations. The Historic Rosedale Plantation in Charlotte is a truly beautiful place to visit and admire the early 19th century design.
Built in 1815, it was occupied in the 1830's by a doctor and his family, who not only performed medical practices, but ran the plantation with the help of 2 slave families — about 20 people altogether. Known for its original French wallpaper in three rooms and faux grained woodwork, it is truly an amazing place to visit and allow history to come alive once more.
