Seven-time NASCAR champion Richard Petty has created the ultimate destination for racing fans with a need for speed. The Richard Petty Driving Experience offers driving and ride-along packages where guests can experience the thrills of the 1.5-mile, 24-degree-banked Lowe's Motor Speedway from inside a two-seat stock car at speeds of more that 165mph. Two Ride-Along Experiences feature a three-lap NASCAR qualifying run, or an actual race where guests experience side-by-side racing, drafting, passing, and a pit crew challenge.
Guests who want all the glory can choose from five different Driving Experiences ranging from the half-day Rookie program, which includes eight laps around the track, to the multi-session Advanced Racing Experience, which features personal instruction and forty laps on the track. Racers who opt for driving experiences also receive instruction on race technique, such as refining the driving line, building speed, and side-by-side racing.
