White Point Gardens in Charleston, SC

2 Murray Blvd Charleston, , SC 29401
With roots dating back to the early 18th Century, the White Point Garden is a beautiful waterfront park located directly on the Charleston Battery. Old war time cannons are peppered throughout the park and a gazebo style bandstand offers a throwback to 1907. Often called White Point Gardens by local citizens, the area of White Point Garden was once known as Oyster Point. Officially renamed White Point Garden in 1837 the park was used as a Civil War Fortification and has a dark past. Enjoy touring the gardens along with its mysterious history.
