The Best Western King Charles Inn offers spacious rooms furnished with four-poster beds, armchairs, ceiling fans and armoires. There are reasons other than comfort for opting to stay in this particular hotel though. The hotel was originally called The Pavilion Hotel and was frequented by the famous Edgar Allen Poe, and was a meeting place for many other artists of repute. The hotel still retains the prestige and grandeur of those days. Start your day with a hot delicious breakfast. You can even have a sparkling evening amidst pastry, cheese, sweet tea and wine at the manager's evening reception, held nightly.

Excellent hotel, very close to the action. We walked everywhere! The beds were comfy (esp. the pillows) and they are renovating which will make a geat place even nicer!
