Mystic Vibrations at Wannamaker County Park, North Charleston, SC

Every year, the reggae group Mystic Vibrations plays as a part of the "Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series" held in Wannamaker County Park in North Charleston, South Carolina. The veteran group was founded in Jamaica and has been playing together for over 15 years. They played their first show in the US in 1992. The band is dedicated to creating music about love, peace, and unity, and promoting awareness about oppressed groups around the world. The band plays in and around Charleston at other times during the year as well.

The Reggae Nights Summer Concert Series kicks off at Wannamaker County Park in late June every year, and features evening concerts from various reggae and dub performers. The series, which started in 1992, attracts upwards of 2000 attendees every year. During the concerts, local vendors sell Caribbean-style food and Jamaican and reggae-themed items. There is a nominal fee for adult admission, and tickets can be purchased at the park. Children 12 and under are welcome and are admitted for free. Coolers are prohibited at the park, but visitors are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. Beverages are sold on site at the concerts.
